ABOUT US
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization composed of volunteer MO Master Naturalists & Master Gardeners.

We operate with the support of the MO Department of Conservation & University of MO Extension. Together this collective team plans an annual Pollinator Festival.

BRIEF HISTORY
For many years the annual pollinator festival was referred to as Monarch Madness. It was successful and provided many opportunities to learn, engage and even tag monarchs.

With the decline of pollinators - and critical habitat to support pollinators - a decision was made in early 2025 to rebrand the event to Pollinator Palooza to better highlight the importance all pollinators play.
Why Pollinators?
Insects such as bees, butterflies and damselflies along with birds and bats are all considered to be pollinators.
Approximately one out of every three bites of food is possible because of pollinators, which shows the critical link between pollinator protections and growth to our food system.
Bringing awareness and education surrounding all pollinators will help to increase awareness and action to the common goal of increasing pollinator populations.
Vision
Educate and engage with citizens to better their understanding of pollinators in Missouri.
Encourage pollinator protections and the creation of microspaces that provide needed pollinator habitat.
